2021 Shred Day Recap

2021 Shred Day Group Photo

Thanks to all who participated in our 6th annual community shredding event earlier this month.  We had an impressive turnout considering many local shredding events were back in operation post-pandemic and after having moved it to a Saturday morning.

We host this free community event each year as part of our effort to prevent identity theft and promote recycling. Our team worked in the sun together unload cars, trunks, trucks, and even a large box trailer.  We also disassembled a trailer load of tower computers and drilled hard drives and laptops before taking them to Cohen recycling center in Sharonville where they will be shred, repurposed and hazardous electronic waste kept from landfills.

We were grateful for the cooperating weather and pleased to be of such service to our community.

  • 250 cars unloaded
  • Shredding and recycling of ~17,200 lbs of paper. (Our truck filled up a bit early so we’ll have a second truck next year)
  • 93 computer and laptop hard drives destroyed and 370 pounds of hazardous electronics recycled with Cohen and kept from a landfill. (We partner with Cohen recycling to provide this service)
  • Fantastic weather with a faster moving line to shred on site.

We suspect this service was helpful as many families continued to clean and purge their homes this past Spring.  We were happy to serve such a large number of Blue Ash, Montgomery, West Chester and Mason residents. Our company intends to hold a community shredding event annually each June, so please keep your eye on www.twpteam.com/shredday for details next year.  We hope to bring back fun conversations and shredded BBQ sandwiches with our event next year, assuming the pandemic will be pretty far in the rear-view.

Our hard-working team would enjoy the honor to serve your family’s money guidance needs. A conversation with an advisor is complimentary and without judgement or pressure.

We hope you have a delightful rest of your summer!
